The RYA 1 Day 1st Aid Course is designed to provide you with a basic knowledge for your boating, family or place at work of First Aid and resuscitation techniques.
The course is based around the needs for boaty types.
Covering such as treatment for hypothermia and associated problems such as cold water shock (we are in the UK) the course is classroom based.
Course duration: 1 day
The RYA 1 Day 1st Aid Course will cover the following:
- Principles of 1st Aid
- Casualty assessment & emergency actions to be taken
- Basic life support
- Shock & hypothermia
- Fractures and other injuries
- Casualty handling
- Helicopter rescues
- First Aid kits
